Job summary

Ethan Allen Global, Inc. is seeking a skilled Upholstery Assembler in Maiden, NC to assemble and upholster furniture components, operating a roller conveyor and upholstery lift with air tools and hand tools.

You will shape fabric, cut filler, and ensure a precise finish. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma and 2–5 years of upholstery experience, strong attention to detail, the ability to read instructions, lift heavy materials, and adapt to changing workstation assignments, including

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 2–5 years of upholstery experience.
• Ability to read and follow directions (verbal and written).
• Basic math skills: counting, adding, subtracting.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds solo and 100 pounds with assistance.
• Hand-eye coordination.
• Organizational and multi-tasking abilities.
• Timely completion of duties.
• Excellent attendance.
• Flexibility to work at changing stations.
• Work with minimal supervision.
• Overtime required, including Saturdays.

Responsibilities

• Move assembled frame from conveyor to upholstery lift using transfer cart.
• Staple filler material to the frame with a pneumatic staple gun; safety glasses required.
• Cut excess filler material with scissors and attach fabric/leather using pneumatic stapler.
• Smooth and tuck seams for a crisp finish using a regulator (ice pick).
• Trim excess fabric around wood portions with a box cutter.
• Occasional lifting to sit frames off the assembly conveyor for repairs.
