Job summary

DARRAN in High Point, NC is seeking an Upholsterer to prepare materials and operate sewing machines for high-quality upholstery covers using fabric, leather, or vinyl. You will pull materials according to work orders, set up and maintain sewing equipment, and ensure finished products meet quality standards.

Responsibilities include upholstery preparation and application, quality checks, and minor related tasks such as cutting as needed.

Qualifications

Proven experience in upholstery, preferably in contract or residential furniture.
Proficiency in working with various upholstery materials (fabric, leather, vinyl).
Ability to use hand tools and staple guns effectively and safely.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality craftsmanship.
Ability to read and interpret patterns and specifications.
Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.

Responsibilities

Upholstery Preparation: Place units on lifts for efficient upholstery processing and apply foam to frames.
Upholstery Application: Upholster seating products using fabric, leather, or vinyl, pull materials, and shape units with a seat press, ensuring pattern matching and quality.
Quality Control and Repair: Conduct thorough quality checks and perform repairs as needed.
