Job summary

Bernhardt Furniture Company in Shelby, NC is seeking experienced Sewers for its Sewing department. You will use industrial sewing machines to assemble upholstery fabric components and follow spec sheets based on work tags and patterns.

The role requires 2+ years of furniture sewing experience, knowledge of upholstery fabrics, and a team-oriented, self-motivated approach to meet production schedules. Plant operates Monday–Friday with overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• A minimum of two (2) years of furniture sewing experience (flatwork, cushions, pillows, borders, single needle topstitching).
• Ability to read and understand matching work tags/patterns to sew fabric according to spec sheets.
• Knowledge of upholstery fabric types, applications, and tailoring to ensure finished product.
• Ability to carry bundles of work and sit at a machine for shift duration.
• Produce quality work and meet production goals.
