Job summary

QPS Employment Group is seeking an experienced Industrial Sewing Machine Operator / Pattern Cutter for an upholstery manufacturing team in Elkhorn, WI. The role focuses on cutting, sewing, and assembling fabric components for custom furniture products, with attention to detail and quality in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate has industrial sewing or upholstery experience, strong reading of patterns, and the ability to work collaboratively to meet production deadlines.

Qualifications

• Previous industrial sewing experience strongly preferred.
• Upholstery, furniture, mattress, or similar manufacturing experience is a plus.
• Ability to read and follow patterns, work instructions, and production specifications.

Responsibilities

• Cut and sew upholstery fabrics according to patterns, measurements, and production specifications.
• Operate industrial sewing machines and related upholstery equipment safely and efficiently.
• Assemble and stitch fabric components using appropriate sewing techniques.
• Follow patterns, work instructions, and specifications to ensure accurate and consistent results.
• Measure and cut materials accurately to minimize waste.
• Inspect fabric components and finished pieces for defects or quality concerns.
• Identify issues with stitching, measurements, fit, or appearance.
• Perform repairs and rework as needed to meet quality standards.
• Ensure finished products meet appearance, fit, and durability requirements.
• Prepare and package completed products for shipment or storage.
