Job summary

Century Furniture LLC. in Hickory, NC is seeking an Upholstery Product Analyst & Project Coordinator to develop new upholstery products and support launches.

You will work closely with the Upholstery Product Line Manager and VP, coordinating development, reviewing models with vendors, and researching design trends to inform merchandising and marketing materials. Domestic and international travel may be required.

Qualifications

  • Organize and maintain materials and product development projects on the PDweb tool.
  • Coordinate the development of new upholstery products.
  • Prepare, revise, and present product ideas to the merchandising team.
  • Work closely with vendors to review models for accuracy.
  • Research lifestyle, demographics, and design trends.
  • Monitor costs and work within budget.
  • Partner with Marketing to create and proof marketing materials and support materials.

Upholstery Product Analyst & Project Coordinator# Upholstery Product Analyst & Project CoordinatorCentury Main Office - Hickory, NC 28601## OverviewPosition TypeFull TimeJob ShiftDay## Description**Position Summary**The Upholstery Product Analyst & Coordinator will work closely with the Upholstery Product Line Manager and VP of Upholstery to develop new products and support the product launch and life cycle. This position will interact with the Upholstery Plants, Product Development, IT/BIS, Accounting/Finance, Customer Service, and Sales and Marketing, Creative / Showroom Divisions. **Position Details*** Organize and maintain materials and product development projects on the PDweb tool* Coordinate the development of new upholstery products* Prepare, revise, and present product ideas to the merchandising team* Work closely with vendor to review models for accuracy* Research lifestyle, demographics, and design trends* Monitor costs and work within budget* Partner with Marketing to create and proof marketing materials and support materials* Liaise with suppliers and source materials* Create and maintain relationships with customers and sales reps* Act in alignment with the company’s overall culture, products, image, and target market* Other duties as assigned## Qualifications**Position Requirements*** BS degree in interior design or product/industrial design* Proven work experience in project coordination* Ability and willingness to present products to varied groups at Sales trainings* Knowledge of current marketplace/product trends and best practices* Proficient in MS Office, with intermediate or advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint.* AutoCAD or Rhino experience is a must* Ability to sketch and/or render new designs preferable* Ability to analyze merchandising reports and survey results* Ability to complete repetitive and detailed work for long periods* Must be willing to travel domestically as well as internationally**Professional Competencies*** Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail* Goal-oriented with the ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple concurrent projects* Demonstrates consistent follow-through, accountability, and a commitment to high-quality work* Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to identify issues and recommend practical solutions* Adaptable and comfortable working across a variety of projects, priorities, and business functions* Self-directed with the ability to manage workload independently while meeting deadlines* Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and with external partners**Physical Requirements**The physical demands and work environment expectations described below are representative of those that an employee must meet to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.* Prolonged periods of sitting and performing repetitive tasks, including but not limited to computer and telephone usage* Must be able to work in noisy environments* Frequently lifting/carrying objects up to 10 lbs.; on occasion up to 25 lbs.
