Job summary

Fairfield Chair in Lenoir, NC is seeking a full-time Upholstery Technician to assemble and finish furniture components at Plant 2 Upholstery. You will operate tools, apply padding and fabric, and ensure quality according to instructions.

The role requires at least 2 years of hands-on upholstery experience, strong reading of work instructions, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Workplace safety and efficient completion of tasks are essential.

Position Type: Full Time

Essential duties and responsibilities

• Safely maneuver furniture frames on work platform
• Tacks cardboard, padding and upholstery material to top, side, and bottom rails of outside arms, fitting and shaping materials to obtain specified contour using staple gun, staple puller, scissors, and regulator
• Responsible for fixing their own repairs
• Maintains neat and orderly workstation.
• Follow all workplace safety standards
• Performs other duties as required by supervisor.

• At least 2 years of hands on inside/outside Upholstery experience
• Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, Outlook to Intermediate level
• Effective communication & interpersonal skills required to build relationships across the business
