Job summary

Flexsteel Industries, Inc. is seeking a skilled pattern maker/cad technician to support pattern marking, digitized pattern modifications, and cut-file programming for leather production.

You will collaborate with design and manufacturing teams to ensure efficient marker layouts and high-quality output. The role involves creating markers, preparing cut files for multi-ply systems, and mentoring junior staff in marker making and CAD usage, with emphasis on continuous improvement and zero-defects

Qualifications

• Experience with pattern marking or CAD software.
• Modifying digitized pattern components, markers and cut files as needed.
• Ability to program cut files for multi-ply cutting system.

Responsibilities

• Set match points on digitized pattern components and generate corresponding markers/cut files.
• Program cut files for the multi-ply cutting system.
• Assist with basic pattern design functions and marker layouts for improvements.
• Create files and components for leather cutting demands.
• Load cutting and usage information into AS400 system as needed.
• Support product design and manufacturing teams with troubleshooting and improvements.
