Job summary

Flexsteel Industries Inc. seeks a pattern and cutting systems specialist to support upholstery pattern marking, marker creation, and CAD-driven design adjustments.

You will generate match markers, program cut files for multi-ply cutting, and assist with pattern design modifications to meet production needs. Responsibilities include loading data into AS400, collaborating with product design and manufacturing teams, and mentoring junior members in marker making and cutting programming to ensure

Qualifications

• Pattern marking or CAD software experience.
• Experience generating match markers and cut files.
• Ability to program cut files for multi-ply cutting system.

Responsibilities

• Design experience with upholstery pattern marking or CAD software.
• Set match points on digitized pattern components and generate match markers/cut files.
• Program cut files for the multi-ply cutting system.
• Assist with pattern design functions including modification of digitized pattern components, markers, cut files.
• Create files and components for leather cutting demands.
• Load cutting and usage information into AS400 system.
• Support product design and manufacturing with troubleshooting and continuous improvement.
• Lead process documentation and standardization for knowledge transfer.
• Mentor junior team in marker making and cutting programming.
• Communicate cross-functionally to ensure timely project management.
• All other duties as assigned.
