Job summary

Lee Industries is seeking an Upholstery Lead in Conover, NC to supervise the upholstery team and coordinate inside/trim operations. The role requires ensuring production flow, quality, and efficiency while partnering with the manager on personnel issues.

The schedule is Monday–Thursday 6:00 AM–4:30 PM and Friday 6:00 AM–11:00 AM, with overtime as needed. A non-exempt status applies with full-time responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Upholstery knowledge for both inside and outside work, with 2+ years preferred.
• LEAN manufacturing knowledge is a plus and helps improve flow.
• Lead or supervisory experience is desirable for team guidance.
• Effective communication via notes, email, and phone is essential.

Responsibilities

• Directing the Upholstery (inside/trim) associates to ensure tasks are completed on time.
• Answer questions from Upholstery associates on quality, efficiency, procedures, and training.
• Lead and instruct the team to maintain production flow and standards.
• Attend to department attendance and assist across Upholstery areas as needed.
• Maintain safety, quality and machinery standards at all times.
• Perform any other duties as assigned.
