Job summary

Lee Industries, Inc. in Conover, NC is seeking an Upholstery Production Manager to lead day-to-day upholstery operations, ensuring production, quality assurance, scheduling, process improvement, training, and safety align with customer expectations.

The role partners with the Plant Manager to drive efficiency, manage attendance and safety, and uphold company policies and LEAN practices across the department.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading large hourly workforces in multi-shift operations.
• Strong working knowledge of furniture manufacturing processes (upholstery, finishing, assembly, machining, materials handling).
• Knowledge of the manufacturing process.
• Excellent verbal, written, presentation and interpersonal communication.

Responsibilities

• Oversees production/workflow including staging, packing and inspection, quality concerns and reporting to Plant Manager.
• Answers questions from Upholstery associates and other departments on quality, efficiency, procedures, training and production workflow.
