Job summary

The Upfit Technician role at The Shyft Group USA, Inc in Roseville, MI involves installing truck accessories and performing service repairs on commercial vehicles. The position is hourly and non-exempt, with a pay range of $18.00–$22.00 per hour.

As part of NBC Truck Equipment, an Aebi Schmidt brand, you will read work orders, fabricate brackets, and ensure quality workmanship while documenting repairs and outcomes. Benefits include health, dental, vision insurance and PTO.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED is required.
• Experience in a service shop environment preferred.
• Experience with vehicle mechanics including electrical systems, hydraulics and basic fabrication techniques.
• PTO experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform consistent, high-quality installs of truck accessories (e.g. lift gates, shelving units, toolboxes, body components, lighting systems).
• Conduct custom service repairs on commercial vehicles and flatbeds.
• Perform service repairs on truck bodies as needed.
• Document causes and corrections for all repairs.
• Fabricate custom mounting brackets as required.
• Read and follow detailed work orders, installation drawings, blueprints, etc.

Position

The Upfit Technician is responsible for the consistent and quality upfit installations of truck accessories and service repairs on various truck bodies.

Responsibilities

• Completeconsistent and quality installs of truck accessories. Including but notlimited to lift gates, shelving units, toolboxes, body components andlighting systems
• Completecustom service repairs on commercial vehicles and flatbeds
• service repairs on truck bodies
• Documentthe cause and corrections for all repairs
• Fabricatingcustom mounting brackets
• Readand follow detailed work orders, installation drawings, blueprints, etc.
