Job summary

Wallenius Wilhelmsen is seeking an Upfit Mechanic to perform vehicle customization, including installation, repair, and wrapping of parts and accessories. The role requires adherence to safety and regulatory standards and involves testing vehicle performance before and after enhancements.

You will maintain a clean work environment, manage tool and part inventories, and stay current with industry trends through training and workshops.

Qualifications

• TWIC badge is required.
• Ability to follow defined work procedures and directions.
• Clear oral and written communication skills.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and ability to drive both manual and automatic transmissions.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, replace, or wrap parts and accessories on vehicles.
• Ensure customization complies with safety and legal standards.
• Test and inspect vehicle functionality before and after customization.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow best practices for vehicle customization.
• Track inventory and supplies needed for vehicle customization.
• Keep up-to-date with trends and attend training/workshops as required.
• Perform other related tasks as needed.

What You'll Do

• Perform various tasks such as installing, repairing, replacing, or wrapping parts and accessories,
• Ensure that the vehicle customization complies with the safety and legal requirements and standards of the relevant authorities and agencies.
• Test and inspect the vehicle functionality and performance before and after the customization.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment and follow the best practices and procedures for vehicle customization.
• Keep track of the inventory and supplies of the tools, equipment, and materials needed for vehicle customization.
• Stay updated on the latest trends, technologies, and techniques in the vehicle customization industry and attend training and workshops as needed.
• Performs other tasks as required
