Job summary

Akima is seeking skilled Engineering, Professional, Technical, and administrative support personnel for our team at the Y-12 National Security Complex in Oak Ridge, TN, and the Pantex Plant in Amarillo, TX. Successful candidates will have at least 5 years of relevant experience and an ABET accredited degree in Engineering or Physical Science.

The role includes responsibilities like ensuring technical requirements are met and leading operational readiness efforts while complying with DOE regulations. These positions are on-site and include numerous qualifications.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in engineering or physical science.
• Must meet the requirements of DOE O 426.2A.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE Q clearance.

Responsibilities

• Ensure validation and implementation of safety basis and technical design requirements.
• Review technical adequacy of safety basis and supporting documents.
• Lead facility and systems operational readiness.
