Job summary

Side is seeking a Technical Designer to bridge creative vision and technical implementation across co-development projects. You will leverage Unreal Engine 4, build on Blueprint tooling, and collaborate with narrative and UI teams.

The ideal candidate has deep UE4 experience, leadership in design, and a passion for prototyping, systems design, and mentoring designers while working with engineering to deliver polished gameplay.

Qualifications

• Deep expertise with Unreal Engine 4 and gameplay design.
• Experience leading design teams on UE4 projects.
• Strong communication and mentoring skills.

Responsibilities

• Refactor prototype Blueprint assets into scalable, reusable systemic actors and use C++ in Unreal Engine 4 when needed.
• Build UI tooling and developer interfaces to surface debug information and diagnostics to logs and HUDs.
• Debug and verify large-scale game systems, fix errors and improve content or code.
• Implement gameplay mechanics and reward systems while coordinating with narrative teams.
