Job summary

Connex Education Partnership is seeking Unqualified Teaching Assistants to join mainstream primary schools in Bath. Immediate start with flexible daily supply, short-term and longer-term assignments. Prior child-based experience is essential, with DBS and right to work in the UK required.

You will support teachers, assist individual pupils and groups, and help create an inclusive learning environment across various settings. Training and progression opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months’ experience working with children or young people is essential.
• Previous child-based experience is essential, through schools, childcare, youth work, coaching, tutoring, care, or similar settings.

Responsibilities

• Support teachers with classroom activities and learning tasks.
• Work with individual pupils and small groups to encourage participation.
• Assist in creating a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.
• Help prepare classroom resources and learning materials.
• Promote positive behaviour and pupil wellbeing.
• Support pupils’ social, emotional, and academic development.
• Build strong relationships with pupils and school staff.
• Adapt confidently to different classroom environments and routines.
• Follow safeguarding procedures and school policies at all times.
