Job summary

Sunrise Senior Living is seeking an LPN Medication Nurse in Chicago to administer medications, monitor residents, and document care accurately. You will follow physician orders and six rights of medication administration, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance in a senior living setting.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders
• Follow the Six Rights of Medication Administration
• Document in MAR/TAR accurately and in real time
• Monitor symptoms and administer medications as ordered for symptom relief
• Report refusals or adverse reactions promptly
• Conduct Service & Health Updates (SHUs)
• Transcribe physician orders and support care plan updates
• Observe and report physical, emotional, or cognitive changes
• Maintain medication carts, complete narcotic counts, and uphold compliance standards
