Job summary

Sunrise Senior Living is seeking an LPN Medication Nurse in Chicago to provide licensed nursing support, administer medications per orders, and maintain accurate documentation. You will monitor residents, follow care plans, and ensure safety with Six Rights of Medication Administration in a regulated environment.

Ideal candidates hold an active LPN license, CPR/First Aid, and have strong assessment and documentation skills.

Qualifications

• Active LPN license in good standing.
• CPR and First Aid certification.
• Strong assessment and documentation skills.
• Experience in senior care or medication administration preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders.
• Follow the Six Rights of Medication Administration.
• Document in MAR/TAR accurately and in real time.
• Monitor symptoms and administer medications as ordered for symptom relief.
• Report refusals or adverse reactions promptly.
• Conduct SHUs (Service & Health Updates).
• Transcribe physician orders and support care plan updates.
• Observe and report physical, emotional, or cognitive changes.
• Maintain medication carts, complete narcotic counts, and uphold compliance standards.

What We’re Looking For:
