Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline.
• 2 to 4 years of directly related experience.
• US citizen with ability to obtain a Secret Clearance after employment.
• Analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Familiar with software and systems development principles and procedures.
• Eligibility for a Secret Clearance, though not required before hire.

Responsibilities

• Assists in defining specifications for software programming applications and/or oversees maintenance of existing programs to ensure performance and compliance with guidelines and standards.
• Work independently under general direction to uphold daily reporting and support customer missions.
• Possess knowledge of a variety of software development environments.
• Performs software tests/investigation and clarifies how the software works to aid development efforts.
• Collaborate with a team of engineering support staff from multiple disciplines.
• Handles programming phase activities including coding, testing, debugging and documenting per current guidelines and standards.
• Develops architecture requirements and performance standards to meet customer specifications.
• May perform systems modeling, simulation and analysis.
• Receives guidance from experienced software developers/architects.
• Performs additional duties as assigned by onsite lead system engineer and upper management.

In this role, you will:

• Has ability to work independently and under general direction ensuring daily reporting requirements are upheld to ensure continuous support to customer missions.
• Possesses knowledge of a variety of software development environments.
• Performs software tests/investigation and provide clarification to the team about how the software works in order to assist them in development efforts.
• Possesses ability to work well with a team of engineering support staff from all disciplines.
• Performs all necessary aspects of the programming phase of software development including coding, testing, debugging and documenting using current guidelines and standards.
• Develops architecture requirements and performance standards to meet customer specifications.
• May perform systems modeling, simulation and analysis.
• Receives guidance from experienced software developers/architects.
• Performs additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by onsite lead system engineer and upper management.

Qualifications:

To be successful in the role you will have:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline plus 2 to 4 years of directly related experience.
• US citizen with the ability to obtain a Secret Clearance Post employment.
• In some cases, educational requirements may be adjusted for comparable work experience. Work experience may be adjusted for highly specialized knowledge or uniquely applicable experience for positions involving new technology or labor market shortages as reflected by market survey dat
