Job summary

RTL Networks, Inc. seeks a Unix Engineering/System Administrator to support Solaris and Linux in an on-site role in Colorado Springs.

This position requires an active Secret clearance and DoD 8570 IA/IAT II certification (Security+ or equivalent). Advanced degree with 0 years or bachelor’s with 0–2+ years of experience is acceptable; experience with AD/LDAP integration, storage/virtualization, and cybersecurity is valued.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree or bachelor's with 0–2+ years experience
• Must meet DoD 8570 IAWF criteria or IAT Level II certification (Security+)
• Active Secret clearance; US Citizenship required
• Experience with Solaris and Linux, file systems, virtualization (ZFS, UFS, VEEAM, PDOM/LDOM)
• Configure and integrate systems with AD/LDAP; cybersecurity hardening and patching

Responsibilities

• Perform daily systems administration and help desk tasks for Solaris and Linux environments.
• Manage file systems, storage, and virtualization (ZFS, UFS, VEEAM, PDOM/LDOM).
• Configure and integrate systems with Active Directory and LDAP.
• Ensure cybersecurity compliance through best practices, STIGs, patching, and vulnerability remediation.
• Develop and maintain documentation, and troubleshoot issues.
• Design, integrate, and install system releases, and create/update design documents for systems engineering lifecycle.

Requirements

Primary Responsibilities

Essential responsibilities of the Unix Engineering/System Administration, but are not limited to:

• Perform daily systems administration and help desk tasks for Solaris and Linux environments.
• Manage file systems, storage, and virtualization (ZFS, UFS, VEEAM, PDOM/LDOM)
• Configure and integrate systems with Active Directory and LDAP.
• Ensure cybersecurity compliance through best practices, STIGs, patching, and vulnerability remediation.
• Develop and maintain documentation, perform COTS assessments, and troubleshoot issues.
• Design, integrate, and install system releases, and create/update design documents for systems engineering lifecycle.

Qualifications

Advanced degree and 0 years' experience or bachelor's degree and 0-2+ years' experience or equivalent

Must meet DoD 8570 Information Assurance Workforce (IAWF) criteria or information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level II certification at time of hire (i.e., Security+)

Physical Demands

Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds.

Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time

Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically

Security Clearance requirements

Must currently hold a security clearance at the Secret level. US Citizenship is a requirement for clearance at this location.

Pay Rate

The annual salary rage for this position is $65,000 -$150,000. Please note that the salary information is a general guide only. RTL Networks considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills as well as market business considerations when extending an offer.
