Position Overview:
The University Surveyor, part of the Campus Planning and Strategic Investment (CPSI) team, provides technical expertise in land surveying and mapping to guide campus development. This role supports property and utility accuracy, construction planning, and legal documentation to ensure a safe and well-coordinated campus environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct boundary, topographic, utility, and construction layout surveys
Manage survey projects and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders
Maintain campus property and utility records
Review plans and legal descriptions; recommend infrastructure adjustments
Support departments on easements, land use, and development
Assist in identifying and locating unknown utilities
Participate in development planning and academic support as needed
