Job Details
- Title: University Photographer
- Time Type: Part-time, 20 hours/week
Job Summary
The campus photographer will ensure that the University has a large, high-quality photo library that reflects Calvin’s brand and visual identity.
Responsibilities
- Shoot high-quality digital images for marketing, web, and news coverage.
- Update the University’s stock photography files annually.
- Co-manage the digital asset library, including archiving and tagging imagery.
- Coordinate with campus units for photography requests.
- Align photography style with University branding guidelines.
- Support social media and other offices as needed.
- Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Skills and Qualifications
- Mastery of Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom or similar software.
- Proficiency with digital SLR cameras and lighting equipment.
- Experience in landscape, sports, portrait, and marketing photography.
- Excellent communication and organization skills.
- Ability to work effectively with staff and faculty.
- Strong time management skills.
- Experience supervising student employees.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree and 2-5 years of related experience, or equivalent.
- Familiarity with social media platforms, data analysis, and accessibility guidelines.
Physical Requirements
Routine office conditions, lifting 10-15 lbs, and other physical activities as described.
