University of Rhode Island in Kingston, RI is seeking a full-time Housekeeper (40 hrs/week) to perform cleaning and custodial tasks across campus facilities. Duties follow established custodial standards and may include moving equipment and minor maintenance.

The position is on the Kingston campus with a Monday–Friday schedule and additional weekend coverage as needed. The ideal candidate has basic cleaning experience, a high school level education (eight grades) or an equivalent combination of

Qualificações

• Knowledge of the equipment, materials and methods used in cleaning and custodial work.
• Ability to understand and carry out simple directions.
• Education or combination of education and experience may be equivalent to the above.

Responsabilidades

• Clean floors, walls, windows, woodwork, furniture and equipment across campus buildings.
• Collect and dispose of trash and recyclables.
• Move office furniture and assist in moving as needed.
• Spray and fumigate for insects when directed.
• Provide washrooms with soap, paper products and supplies.
• Observe safety issues and report maintenance needs.
