Job summary

Nazareth College in Rochester, NY is seeking a Supervisor Director of Enterprise Applications and Data to lead the design, development, and maintenance of the university’s BI data infrastructure. You will manage data pipelines, data models, and reporting tools to support institutional reporting and decision-making.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in BI, data engineering, or related field.
• Experience with data warehouse technologies (Snowflake, Redshift, SSIS).
• Strong SQL skills and experience with databases (PostgreSQL, SQL Server).
• Experience with reporting tools and BI platforms such as Power BI, Tableau, Entrinsik.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain the university’s data infrastructure to consolidate data from various systems into a centralized repository for reporting and analytics.
• Develop and optimize data pipelines to ensure data extraction and loading into data lakes and analytics platforms.
• Create and maintain data models for analytical and reporting needs and optimize for performance.
• Work with Power BI, Tableau, Entrinsik to ensure data availability for dashboards and reports.
• Collaborate with Institutional Research, IT Business Analysts, and end users to meet reporting requirements.
• Develop institutional reports and dashboards based on requests and projects.
• Monitor and optimize data pipelines, databases, and reporting tools to reduce load times.
• Document processes, data flows, and models; provide training on BI tools and data architectures.
• Participate in data governance and ensure compliance with FERPA, GDPR and quality standards.
