Job Summary:

The Universal Teller I position is responsible for conducting and processing various types of customer bank transactions while delivering the “IBC Experience”. This includes providing prompt, efficient, and friendly customer service to customers while adhering to bank teller policy and procedure guidelines. This position also requires tellers to maintain a balanced cash drawer and become skilled in building customer relationships to identify products and services that meet the customer’s banking needs.

Job Description:
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  1. Process paying and receiving teller transactions
  2. Deliver the IBC Experience by providing prompt, efficient, and friendly customer service
  3. Balance and maintain assigned cash box and vault if applicable, as well as perform end-of-day processes
  4. Meet customer financial needs by promoting bank products and services through lobby, motor bank, and outreach activities
  5. Perform successfully according to Sales Performance Goals and Referral Programs
  6. Participate in product and service initiatives for bank growth
  7. Attend company meetings
  8. Process foreign currency transactions
  9. Follow proper procedures to minimize errors and reduce losses
  10. Assist in solving issues related to customer transactions
  11. Answer all banking-related inquiries
  12. Operate and maintain all necessary teller equipment
  13. Assist with branch procedures under dual control requirements, including branch opening and closing
  14. Assist with on-the-job training for their branch and other branches
  15. Flexibility to report to work and assist other branches
  16. Perform the duties of sales functions
  17. Perform other duties as assigned
