Job summary

Adams 12 Five Star Schools is seeking a developmentally focused preschool educator to provide an inclusive program for 3, 4, and 5-year-olds, including children with disabilities. You will collaborate with teachers, assistants, and related service providers to plan and assess learning experiences in line with district and state requirements.

The role requires a High School diploma, valid Early Childhood Teacher qualification per Colorado rules, and preschool experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be able to show Early Childhood Teacher qualification per Colorado regulations.
• Experience with preschool-age children required.
• Experience with curriculum planning and data collection.
• Provide PDIS credential.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Background check and health/safety certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans and routines.
• Coordinate with team to plan activities and carry out assessments.
• Facilitate play-based learning and individual child goals.
• Follow state licensing guidelines and use guidance from specialists.
• Prepare materials and maintain classrooms and centers.
• Communicate with families about classroom news and resources.
• Schedule family conferences and share child progress.
• Supervise teacher assistants and student trainees as assigned.
• Assist with daily routines, safety, meals, and medical needs as needed.
