Job summary

Cherry Creek Careers is seeking an Early Childhood Education Instructor for a Colorado preschool classroom serving ages 3 to 5 ½ years. You will plan and deliver inclusive instruction, support IEP goals, and maintain records. You will also prepare materials, supervise staff, and communicate progress to guardians.

The role involves daily administrative tasks, meetings, and collaboration with district staff and specialists to ensure students’ progress and wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Criminal background check and fingerprinting required.
• High School Equivalency diploma required.
• 1 year of early childhood education/preschool teaching or assistant experience.
• Ability to work one-on-one and in small groups.
• Colorado DHS Early Childhood Teacher qualification verification required.
• First Aid/CPR certification required.
• PDIS registered (Colorado Shines)
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Basic word processing skills
• Advanced verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with others.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, monitor each student’s educational program and supervise classroom activities.
• Supervise and evaluate para-educators; support professional growth and annual evaluations.
• Attend meetings related to IEPs; plan with special educators and participate in IEP meetings.
• Prepare class materials, manage daily attendance, notes, and communications.
• Supervise playground activities and manage emergencies with safety.
• Write student progress reports and conduct parent conferences.
• Enter student data in TS GOLD and meet state checkpoints.
• Purchase classroom supplies per district guidelines.
• Attend professional development trainings and PLCs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
