Selfreliance Federal Credit Union is seeking a professional, dependable, and service-oriented Universal Member Service Representative, also known as a Personal Banker, to join our team in Whippany, NJ.

The Universal Member Service Representative provides professional, prompt, efficient, and accurate service to members in person, by telephone, and through online channels. This versatile position combines teller transactions, account servicing, new account opening, loan processing, and other branch operational responsibilities. The UMSR is expected to deliver an exceptional member experience while protecting member information, following Credit Union policies, and supporting the daily needs of the branch.

The successful candidate will be comfortable handling financial transactions, assisting members with a broad range of products and services, working in a fast-paced environment, and maintaining a high level of accuracy and professionalism.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

• Previous customer service and sales experience (banking experience strongly preferred).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Data Processing Platforms and Microsoft Office.
• A commitment to delivering exceptional service.
• Fluency in both English and Ukrainian.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Continually identify our Members' financial needs and recommend appropriate credit union products and services.
• Open and service all consumer and business accounts.
• Assist members with a wide range of financial transactions, including teller transactions, member service issues, account maintenance, wire transfers, consumer loans, credit and debit card services, and other operational duties assigned by the Branch Manager.

Education and Certifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Relevant degree in Banking, Finance, or Accounting preferred but not required

Language Assessments:

• Fluency in English required
• Conversational Ukrainian language skills required
