Job summary

Job Title: Universal Deposit Operations Specialist

Job Description: Summary

Universal Deposit Operations Specialist will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of multiple banking departments, including Deposit Operations, Cash Operations, and Specialized Deposits. Functions of each department are time sensitive and must be adhered to by means of policy and procedure.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Assist banking units with researching Cash Vault, ATM/ITM and Teller balancing discrepancies or differences.
• Responsible for electronic payment processing/exception item processing, including but not limited to: returns, chargebacks, adjustments, overdraft decisions and non-post item decisions.
• Cross train in the functions of Deposit Operations, Cash Operations & Specialized Deposits.
• Responsible for providing superior customer service to internal and external customers.
• Assist with projects
• Participate in required training courses related to job
• Complete General Service Request (GSRs) for Deposit Operations, Cash Operations & Specialized Deposits.
• Recognize problems that could have a customer or regulatory impact and elevate to the appropriate manager.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Ability to work independently, with little to no supervisory oversight.
• Requires excellent communication skills, good time management skills and the ability to initiate and embrace change.
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
• Strong Customer Service Excellent mathematical, analytical, and organizational skills, with strong attention to detail with immediate and accurate results.
• Ability to operate computers, adding machines and a variety of office equipment.

High School or equivalent required 2 - 3 years of relevant experience
