Citizens First Bank in Viroqua is seeking a Universal Banker to join our full-time team. The role combines teller responsibilities with customer service, account openings and referrals for bank products.

You will balance cash, support branch operations, and help customers solve problems while maintaining confidentiality and regulatory compliance. We value strong communication, organization, and sales skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma is required.
• 1–3 years of cash handling and/or customer service experience preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Functions as an experienced Teller, processing transactions accurately and timely.
• Opens new accounts, edits accounts, and closes customer accounts as needed.
• Cross-sell and refer bank products/services through needs identification.
• Balance cash drawer daily with minimal variances; reconcile errors.
• Provide outstanding customer service for all inquiries and transactions.
• Open night deposit vault and manage ATM cash replenishment and operation.
• Support branch operations by scanning and operating the proof machine.
• Manage safe deposit access, contracts, and related procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Citizens First Bank is now seeking a Universal Banker to work full-time at our Viroqua branch!

POSITION SUMMARY

Performs teller duties, both routine and complex accurately and professionally. Assists with customer inquiries/problem solving.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

1. Functions as an experienced, fully trained Teller, receiving and processing Teller transactions accurately and timely. Follows Bank procedures when performing transactions on teller machine and other required equipment such as encoder, CRT.
2. Handles all face-to-face transactions. Opens new accounts, edit accounts and close customer accounts when necessary.
3. Cross sells and/or refers Bank products and services to specific customers through needs identification, maximizing profitable relationship. Interact with customers to identify their needs. Works with appropriate areas of the Bank to refer customers.
4. Verifies and balances assigned cash drawer daily with minimal cash variances. Assists in reconciling errors or discrepancies for self and other tellers. Maintains adequate cash and/or cash drawer limits as required by Bank policy.
5. Provides outstanding customer service for all types of customer inquiries and transactions. Includes accurate, professional, efficient service to all customers.
6. Opens night deposit vault and ensures contents are processed using dual control at all times. Balances ATM, replenishes cash supply and ensures ATM is working.
7. Provide support for branch operations by scanning and operating the proof machine as needed.
8. Rents/grants access to safe deposit boxes. Verifies access authority against safe deposit contracts for each request exercising prescribed controls. Check booth or conference room after each use. Accepts and processes payments for new boxes, renewals, drilling fees and lost key fees. Input safe deposit information to manual and computer system according to established procedures. Purge files as appropriate.
9. Other duties as assigned.

ROLE QUALIFICATIONS:

Education

• High school diploma

• 1 to 3 years related cash handling and/or customer service experience preferred, but not required
