Job summary

Texana Bank in Linden, Texas is seeking a Universal Banker to handle teller transactions, open new accounts, and cross-sell bank products to customers. You will maintain knowledge of our complete product line and deliver prompt, friendly service following bank policies and procedures.

Responsibilities include processing transactions, assisting customers with services, opening/closing accounts and safe deposit boxes, performing clerical tasks, and staying compliant with security and audit

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency.
• At least 1 year customer service and cross-selling experience.
• At least 1 year of teller experience.
• Ability to enter numerical data with speed and accuracy.
• Strong interpersonal skills and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Processes transactions within policies to ensure operational excellence.
• Follows audit and security policies and procedures per bank policy.
• Explain services and assist in selecting them; open accounts based on needs.
• Perform servicing duties: greet customers, process inquiries, issue checks/cards, balance accounts.
• Explain bank services and charges to customers.
• Perform clerical tasks and mail handling as needed.
• Open/close safety deposit boxes and assist with inventory.
• Monitor suspicious activity and report to management; follow robbery procedures.
• Provide notary public service if needed.
• Maintain confidentiality of customer information.
• Perform other tasks as requested by management.
