People’s Bank & Trust in Edmond, OK is seeking a Universal Banker to support daily branch operations, deliver exceptional customer service, and process routine financial transactions accurately.

This full-time role requires handling deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and account inquiries, maintaining cash controls, assisting with new accounts, and upholding bank policies. Strong communication and cash handling skills are essential, with compliance a priority.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in retail banking or financial services environment preferred.
• Banking, cash-handling, or customer service experience preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, courteous, and professional service to all customers.
• Process deposits, withdrawals, check cashing, payments, and transfers.
• Assist customers with account inquiries, debit card services, online banking support, statements, and basic account maintenance.
• Process night deposits and assist mobile/ATM transactions.
• Balance cash drawer and vault balances; research discrepancies.
• Produce daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports and logs.
• Review notices, inactive account reviews, and required mailings.
• Scan and image daily transactions in accordance with bank procedures.
• Assist with new account openings and account closures as needed.
• Support branch operations by assisting other departments and staff when needed.
• Follow bank policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Review transactions for accuracy and reasonableness.
• Identify and elevate suspicious activity, fraud concerns, or policy exceptions to management.
• Ensure proper customer identification and security procedures are followed.
• Serve as backup support for teller line or new accounts as staffing needs require.
• Participate in required training and continuing education programs.
