Job Title:Mortgage Loan Officer Department:Mortgage Division

Reports To:Dir of Mortgage Lending Operations FLSA Status:Exempt

SUMMARY:

The Mortgage Loan Officer (MLO) assists clients with the origination of residential mortgage loans, including providing analysis and advice to current and prospective clients on home lending solutions that meet their needs and financial objectives. The MLO develops referrals as a means to grow the bank’s home lending business and client base. The MLO is expected to meet or exceed established sales goals while maintaining high standards of client satisfaction and loan quality.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develops relationships with Realtors, Builders and Affinity partners to routinely be referred qualified candidates for a residential mortgage.
  • Originate loans in strict accordance with CFPB guidelines.
  • Follow all applicable state, national and regulatory rules, and laws.
  • Close an average of 3 loans per month, which will be routinely evaluated or
  • Close a minimum of $1 million in loan volume monthly.
  • Handle customer privacy with the highest level of diligence.
  • Follow the instructions as presented by their Loan Manager and work for the benefit of the company and the branch, in addition to their own personal production.
  • Performs all other duties assigned based on business needs.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent GED. A Bachelor’s Degree, in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or related field preferred.
  • 1 – 3 years related experience.Previous bank/financial services industry experience a plus.
  • Excellent negotiator who possesses strong closing skills
  • An intelligent and articulate individual who can relate to people at all levels of an organization and possesses excellent communication and customer service skills.
