Job summary

United Community is seeking a Universal Banker I to deliver exceptional customer experiences and support financial wellness. You will handle everyday transactions, engage in needs-based conversations, and educate customers on banking tools and technology, all while ensuring regulatory compliance.

You will guide customers through deposits, withdrawals, and routine transactions, strengthen relationships, and help customers reach their financial goals through informed product recommendations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of banking, cash handling, or retail experience.
• Strong analytical, accuracy, and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Drive proactive needs-based sales conversations through interactions, including service to sales and appointment setting.
• Maintain a comprehensive understanding of retail banking products and services.
• Identify opportunities to enhance existing customer relationships and cultivate new ones by understanding customers’ needs.
• Deliver loan products with complete and correct packages to minimize exceptions.
• Identify opportunities and make referrals to cross-sell banking products and services.
• Educate customers on using technology and available tools and resources.
• Apply product knowledge to solve customer problems.
• Process deposits, withdrawals, and other routine transactions accurately and confidentially.
• Ensure adherence to banking regulations and internal policies.
