Job summary

Atlantic Union Bank is seeking a Universal Banker for the Downtown Roanoke Branch to be the first point of contact for customers, delivering personalized banking solutions and guiding them through teller and platform activities.

You will drive branch growth through relationship-building, cross-selling across deposits, lending, and investments, and collaborate with Mortgage, Investments, and Business Banking teams to connect customers with the right solutions.

Qualifications

• Typically requires 2+ years relevant experience.
• May require vocational or technical training.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time and lift objects up to 30 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, understand their goals, and recommend personalized banking solutions.
• Deliver exceptional service while resolving customer questions, concerns, and complex service needs.
• Educate customers on products, services, and digital capabilities that make banking easier and more convenient.
• Create a welcoming branch experience that strengthens customer relationships and supports branch growth.
• Proactively build relationships with customers to identify needs, recommend solutions, and generate sales and referral opportunities.
• Support branch growth by acquiring customers through prospecting efforts while maintaining and deepening existing relationships.
• Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate solutions across deposits, lending, investments, business banking, and other financial services.
• Partner with internal lines of business to connect customers with the right solutions.
• Support branch sales goals by achieving individual referral and production objectives.
• Perform teller transactions, cash handling activities, and daily balancing responsibilities with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Open new accounts and process customer requests while following established procedures.
• Provide support for day-to-day branch operations and complete assigned operational duties.
• Demonstrate proficiency with digital banking tools and educate customers on available technology.
• Manage risk by adhering to all policies, procedures, and applicable laws and regulations.
• Complete all required training and maintain knowledge of products, services, and operational expectations.
