Qualifications

• Minimum one year of experience in bank operations.
• Cash handling experience in a bank or retail setting preferred.
• Good written and oral communication skills; accurate typing and basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional client service in-person or by phone.
• Perform teller, new accounts, or client service tasks as needed.
• Process deposits, withdrawals, check cashing and other transactions.
• Obtain supervisor approval for transactions outside authority or highly complex cases.
• Help with loss prevention during transactions and duties.
• Issue cashier's checks and other negotiable items.
• Maintain and audit cash drawer and workstation supplies.
• Identify and report suspicious activity per BSA/AML/CTF/OFAC requirements.

Job Title: Universal Banker Floater I

Department: Buena Park

We are looking for a Universal Banker Floater I to join our Buena Park team at Open Bank! The Universal Banker Floater I will be responsible for conducting client and bank transactions with accuracy, speed, efficiency, and professionalism standards. Responsible for consistently providing excellent client service and to cross-sell bank products and services and to generate referrals as appropriate. Employees in this position may be progressively cross-trained in new account processes as deemed appropriate by the Service Manager and in conjunction with the sales and service needs of the branch.

The floater is expected to cover multiple locations including Buena Park, Cerritos and the Gardena Branch.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provides exceptional service in handling clients in-person or on the telephone.
• Performs teller or new accounts or client service functions when needed.
• Processes deposits, withdrawals, check cash and other transactions.
• Get supervisors' approval before posting transactions over authority limits or exceptionally complex transactions.
• Responsible for loss prevention in the processing of all transactions and duties.
• Issues cashier's checks and other negotiable items.
• Maintains a cash drawer and audits the cash drawer according to policy and schedule.
• Keeps workstation neat, clean, and well stocked with supplies and brochure materials.
• In accordance with the Bank's BSA/AML/CTF/OFAC compliance requirement, identify and report any suspicious activities and/or OFAC violations to BSA Department.

Requirements/Qualifications:

• Minimum one year of experience in bank operations preferred, but not required.
• Cash handling experience in a bank or retail setting preferred.
• Good written and oral communication skills; ability to communicate effectively and project a professional image when giving and taking information in writing, in person, and over the phone. Accurate typing/keyboarding skills; basic computer skills, including the use of word processing, spreadsheet software applications, and e-mail.
