Job summary

North American Savings Bank (NASB) in Excelsior Springs, MO, is seeking a Universal Banker to deliver outstanding customer service and promote NASB products. You will greet customers, open accounts, and support branch sales with a focus on service excellence.

You will assess customer needs, provide referrals to mortgage sales, perform daily operations, and ensure cash controls and CIP compliance. The role requires strong communication and the ability to learn NASB products quickly.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED or foreign equivalent required; college degree or military equivalent preferred.
• One year experience in Retail or Sales engaging with customers and making product recommendations leading to sales or relevant experience required.
• Credit and background checks will be required.
• Ability to work branch hours Monday - Friday and alternate Saturday mornings.
• Ability to learn products, services, and procedures quickly and accurately.
• Financial management and responsibility skills.
• Excellent communication skills with adaptability to NASB products/services.
• Basic math skills and currency denomination recognition.
• Time management and organizational skills; detail-oriented and thorough.
• Bilingual desirable, but not required.
• Sound judgment and decision-making abilities.
• Ability to lift/carry up to 25 pounds occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding customer service and greet customers entering the bank; answer phones and take ownership of interactions (support mortgage sales referrals).
• Assist customers in selecting accounts and financial services; administer accounts and support retention while meeting sales/service goals.
• Resolve problems or questions to ensure customer satisfaction; maintain positive, friendly, and professional attitude.
• Support branch marketing activities and promotions; perform daily operations including opening accounts, cash handling, balancing, and CIP compliance.
• Adhere to policies including BSA/AML compliance.

Job Summary:

Our Universal Bankers provide quality customer service and promote NASB’s products, services, and thoughtful solutions to make banking easy for our customers.

You will be instrumental to the success of NASB by:

• Providing outstanding customer service, greeting each customer as they enter the bank, answering the phone promptly, and taking ownership of each interaction; this includes the support of our mortgage sales team by making referrals.
• Assisting customers in their selection of various accounts and financial services, administering accounts, and positively impacting retention of current customers while achieving branch sales and service goals.
• Resolving any problems, issues, or questions to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Always maintaining a positive, friendly, and professional attitude.
• Assisting with all branch level marketing activities and promotions.
• Performing applicable aspects of daily operations, including opening new accounts, cash controls, balancing, exercising fraud prevention, handling customer transactions, and accurately completing all CIP requirements.
• Adhering to all policies and procedures, including those related to the Bank’s Bank Secrecy Act/Anti-Money Laundering (BSA/AML) compliance program.

You will be instrumental to the success of NASB by having:
