Job summary

SouthState Bank in Texas is seeking a Universal Banker to serve as the branch’s single point of contact for customers’ financial needs, combining teller and FSR duties to deliver exceptional service.

You will open deposits, process transactions, enroll customers in self-service options, and promote additional banking products while upholding service standards and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: Cash handling, sales, customer service; banking experience preferred.
• Knowledge: Good interpersonal and computer skills; English reading/writing/speaking.

Responsibilities

• Process teller transactions for savings, checking, and loan accounts.
• Open new deposit accounts; handle stop payments, wire transfers, and maintenance functions within limits.
• Identify customer needs and expand relationships by referrals as outlined in the role.
• Balance transactions daily; maintain branch security and audit procedures.
• Assist in guiding/training new tellers and support safe deposit box access where applicable.
