TS Bank is seeking to hire a Universal Bankerposition for our location in Treynor, Iowa.

This position is responsible for contributing to sales targets byidentifying and fulfilling simple sales opportunities and promotingBank products. This includes greeting customers, opening day-to-dayaccounts, and working closely with team members to ensure an optimalcustomer experience.

Preferred education and experience: Possess a high school diploma orGED certification required. Additional post high school educationand/or training is preferred. One year of work experience in afinancial institution, cash handling experience, and prior salesexperience is a plus.

Starting Pay: $18.00/hr.

Experience and Skills:
  • Comply with all banking and company regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • To effectively perform the job, must have reliable transportationto travel to and from work and other work-related events, meetings,interactions with clients, etc.
  • Ability to operate the following: telephone, personal computer,printer, copy machine, fax machine. Working knowledge of wordprocessing, spreadsheet, and database software programs. Advanced PCknowledge beneficial.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules,operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability toeffectively present information and respond to questions fromemployees of company and the general public. Must possess goodcommunication skills. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and dividein all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, anddecimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to drawand interpret bar graphs.
  • Position may require the ability to work before or after normalbusiness hours, including weekends and overnight travel, to meetrequired deadlines and attend meetings and/or training programs.
  • Ability to perform all other duties as assigned.
  • Protect TS Banking Group financial interests and reputation bycomplying with internal and external policies, procedures and regulations.
  • Assist with daily operating activities such as ABM servicing, andopening and closing procedures.
  • Contribute to sales goals by identifying and fulfilling simplesales opportunities to increase sales and revenue.
  • Cross-sell bank products to new and existing customers.
  • Direct sales opportunities to the appropriate sales officer.
  • Ensure all activities conducted are in compliance with governingregulations and internal policies and procedures.
  • Foster a relationship of mutual trust and confidence with clientsand other team members.
  • Greet and interact with the customer when they enter the branch.
  • Meet clients day-to-day transactional needs and resolve theirservice and maintenance related inquires.
  • Promote bank products.
  • Open day-to-day accounts, fulfill pre-approved creditopportunities and work closely with team members to ensure theoptimal experience for clients.
  • Interact with the local market to gain new clients and expandrelationships with existing clients
  • Provide WoW client service through quality conversations,efficient and accurate processing of client transactions andadhering to the Branch Service Level Agreement
  • Sell, open, and maintain all personal banking products andservices to new and existing clients, by highlighting features andbenefits of bank products and cross sell/referrals to other TSBanking Group areas including commercial and small business lendingand wealth management and trust
  • Meet or exceed all established sales goals and contribute tobranch deposit growth; track and log all interactions in the bank’sCRM system; provide feedback at weekly sales huddles; completion of2.2.2 follow-up; Personal Banking Incentive Program participationallowed after 90-day onboarding
  • Maintain a system of follow-up mail and telephone communicationseveral times during the year with new and existing clients togenerate additional business
  • Answer client questions and handle objections during the salesprocess; diplomatically handle dissatisfied clients by providingexceptional client service
  • Perform both account opening and transactional processes in thedelivery of efficient, accurate and professional service thatdefines exceptional client service and reputation
  • Proficient in personal account opening, maintenance, closingincluding checking, savings, and safe deposit boxes. Adheres to leanaccount opening process
  • Check ordering; check cashing procedures; issue cashier’s checks;process wire transfers; account maintenance; transfer/sweeps; onlinebanking and mobile banking maintenance; stop payments; process holdsand ACH/debit card disputes
  • Proficient in BSA requirements including CTR transactions,monetary instrument log, and detecting/reporting suspicious/unusual activity
  • Provide awareness of all banking products and services viaoutbound communication and interaction with current and prospectiveclients. Make appropriate referrals and possesses a thoroughknowledge of TS Banking Group products and services. Gathers andorganize client information based on referrals; answer questionsregarding same; make follow-up calls; use CRM system to prepare andproceed with the next steps in referral process (current andprospective clientele); provide feedback to supervisor and affectedbank personnel.
  • Participate in branch and bank business development activitiesincluding community events to promote the bank’s favorable image
  • Proactive aisle prospecting required for in-store bankers
  • Proficient in deposit compliance disclosures. Comply with allbanking regulations, policies and procedures.
  • Knowledgeable in BSA requirements including CTR transactions,monetary instrument log and detecting/reporting suspicious/unusual activity
