Job summary

Minnwest Bank in Slayton, MN is seeking a Universal Banker to deliver exceptional customer service while building and maintaining relationships at the branch. The role supports transactional services, account opening, consumer lending support, digital banking education, and identifying customer needs.

Level placement is based on experience, with potential for travel between local branches. Starting pay ranges from $16 to $18 per hour, with paid mileage for using your own vehicle and extra pay

Qualifications

• 6 months cash handling and customer service experience
• High school diploma or equivalent (GED) desired
• Ability to multi-task, be organized, effective time management
• Proven ability to balance a cash drawer accurately

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service during all customer interactions
• Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently, recognizing red flags regarding frauds and scams
• Assist customers with basic account maintenance and digital banking tools
• Perform teller functions including but not limited to receiving checks and cash for deposit, verifying cash and endorsement, issuing receipts, issuing cashier’s checks, cashing checks, and paying out funds upon verification of signature and balance, balancing of cash drawer and maintaining established cash level
• 6 months cash handling and customer service experience
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Dependable, organized team player with a positive attitude
• Ability to communicate with customers in a professional manner
• Basic computer skills including proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite

Job Summary:

Universal Bankers are responsible for delivering exceptional customer service while building and maintaining customer relationships at the bank branch. This role supports a variety of banking functions including transactional services, account opening, consumer lending support, digital banking education, and identifying customer financial needs.

Level placement is based on experience, knowledge, and demonstrated banking expertise. Each level builds upon responsibilities, knowledge, and expectations of the preceding level. Employees are expected to continue performing the primary responsibilities associated with lower levels while taking on the additional responsibilities outline for their assigned level.

The position requires travel to local branches to provide adequate staffing coverage due to staffing needs. Universal Bankers will be paid mileage while using their own vehicle to travel to other local branches. In addition, when working at another branch outside of their home location, bankers will receive an additional $1.00/hour pay.

There is occasional travel (<5%) to the Minnwest Bank Training center in Eagan, MN for Universal Banker Training.

Universal Banker I (Assistant)

Starting Pay Range:

$16-$18/hour

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide exceptional customer service during all customer interactions

Preferred Qualifications:

Schedule:

Monday – Friday: 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., Rotating Saturdays 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m

• Requires face-to-face interaction and coordination of work with other employees and departments, and in-person interaction.

• Occasionally lifting up to 50lbs

Pay Range:

$16 – $18/hour

The salary range represents anticipated base pay for this role.
