Job description

PRIMARY PURPOSE: This position is responsible for acquiring, expanding, and enriching current and future member relationships by assisting and educating members in opening and managing their accounts and finances, building long-term relationships, and cross-selling the products and services that will help them be financially successful. Providing personalized, professional service to all members in an exceptional manner, and seeking out opportunities for additional business.

Schedule: Monday-Friday 11:00am-5:30pm, Saturday 8:30am-1:30pm (up to 3 Saturdays per month).

Pay Range: $22.25-$23.50/hr plus incentives and a 3% annual target bonus. Final offers depend on skill set, experience, location, qualifications, and other factors.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS include:

  1. Assist members with requests related to opening accounts, service requests, and credit applications.
  2. Educate members on products and services, cross-sell, and make qualified referrals for loans, deposits, and fees.
  3. Build trust through engagement, education, open-ended questions, listening, and a consultative approach.
  4. Provide notarial services, including witnessing, authenticating documents, and verifying identity.
  5. Maintain a sales pipeline by collecting contact information and scheduling follow-ups.
  6. Refer members to financial experts when needed.
  7. Diagnose and research moderately complex member issues, collaborating with other departments for resolution.
  8. Consistently exceed sales goals.
  9. Assist members with fraud, deceased accounts, retirement services, account maintenance, and other needs, ensuring excellent service.
  10. Support community involvement through events.
  11. Stay current on promotions, participate in contests and activities.
  12. Follow risk and compliance policies to safeguard assets and privacy.
  13. Support diversity and inclusion initiatives.
  14. Provide support to other teams, which may require travel.
  15. Perform additional duties as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School diploma required; some college preferred.
  • Sales experience and member service or retail banking experience preferred.
  • Cash handling and banking regulations knowledge preferred.
  • Ability to recommend financial products to improve members' financial positions.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality service.
  • Excellent member service skills with a member-focused mindset.
  • Proficiency with MS Office and office equipment.
  • Comfortable with self-service technology.
  • Strong organizational skills, detail-oriented, with integrity.
  • Positive problem-solving attitude.
  • Punctuality and willingness to work overtime as needed.
  • Must obtain or possess a Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO) qualifier (NMLS registration). Must complete all MLO requirements, including background checks and fingerprinting.
  • Notary license required upon hire.
  • Bondable.
