Job summary

Solutions Development Corporation (SDC) is seeking a motivated Software Application Developer to support NSWC Dahlgren Division. The role focuses on MADIS Virtual Trainer (MVT) development using C#, Python, and Unity within an Agile team.

The candidate should be able to design, implement, test, and maintain software while collaborating with government stakeholders. On-site work at NSWC Dahlgren, VA and an Active Secret Clearance are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 5–10 years of relevant experience in combat systems/C2/usw simulation.
• 5+ years of software or systems engineering with Unity and/or game development.
• 5+ years of experience developing in C#.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex engineering challenges in Unity applications.
• Experience with system integration, developmental testing, V&V, maintenance, and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Participate in Agile ceremonies (daily stand-ups, planning, backlog grooming, retrospectives, reviews).
• Translate requirements into actionable tasks and user stories.
• Create, decompose, estimate, and prioritize user stories for MVT development.
• Design, develop, enhance, and maintain software using C# and Unity.
• Develop, peer-review, test, and deliver software within sprint commitments.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex software/engineering issues.
• Support test systems, V&V, and software maintenance activities.
• Develop and maintain technical/software documentation.
• Collaborate with government sponsors, stakeholders, and team members.
