Job summary

SimVentions, Inc. is seeking a Mid-level Software Developer to join the team on-site at NSWCDD or a contractor facility. The role requires 5+ years of software development experience and active Secret clearance. Applicants must be U.S. Citizens.

You will design, build, and maintain modular software using Java, Kotlin, Go, Rust, or TypeScript, develop standard APIs, implement SQL schemas, and leverage CI/CD with Docker and Kubernetes.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in software development.
• Experience with Java, Kotlin, Go, Golang, Rust, or TypeScript.
• Designing and implementing modular software architectures.
• Knowledge of open API and providing data access.
• Knowledge of database schema design and SQL.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and containerization, including Docker and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of Agile fundamentals.
• Secret clearance and US citizenship.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain modular software components using Java, Kotlin, Go, Rust, or TypeScript.
• Develop standard APIs and scalable data interfaces for data access and integration across systems.
• Design database schemas and write efficient SQL queries.
• Utilize CI/CD automation and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) for deployment.
• Integrate open-source protocols (MQTT, gRPC, WebSockets) and mapping libraries (OpenLayers, Cesium).
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, perform code reviews, and deliver software packages.
• Operate in a cleared security environment with required compliance.
