Job summary

Pratt Industries in Rock Hill, SC is seeking a Unitizer Operator to join our production team. You will operate the unitizer and related equipment, ensure correct banding, tagging, and packing, and maintain accurate production data and safety standards.

The role emphasizes attention to detail, efficient machine operation, and coordination with maintenance and supervision to keep schedules on track. A high school diploma or GED is required with preference for corrugated industry experience and

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Preferred: prior work in the corrugated industry.
6 months experience in the Press or Finishing Department; forklift operator preferred.

Responsibilities

Operate the unitizer and associated equipment with proper setup.
Ensure correct placement of bands, tags, and cover sheets; maintain stacking patterns.
Scan barcodes on units passing through the unitizer.
Prepare neat units with correct banding and packaging.
Maximize equipment utilization by running at appropriate capacity and speed.
Complete reports like Production Data, Machine Status, Safety Data, and Quality Data.
