Job summary

Grand Haven Hospital is seeking a part-time Unit Tech/Clerk for days to support patients in a fast-paced care setting. 24 hours per week with a day shift schedule, starting at 10:30 AM and ending at 11:00 PM.

Ideal candidates hold a High School Diploma, current BLS, and relevant certifications such as CENA (MI) or EMT/MA/LPN, with nursing program enrollment or anatomy/physiology coursework as alternatives.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Current BLS certification required.
• CENA in Michigan or nursing program with relevant coursework required.
• EMT, Medical Assistant or LPN certification preferred.
• Anatomy & Physiology coursework or related education considered.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on support to patients in a dynamic care environment.
• Accurately measure and record vital signs and intake.
• Collect and handle specimens (urine, sputum, stool).
• Assist with wound care, EKGs, and splinting.

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent

Current BLS certification

CENA in Michigan

Anatomy & Physiology course

Enrolled in accredited nursing program

What You’ll Do:

What You’ll Need:

• Current BLS certification

• Certified Nurse Aide (CENA) in Michigan
• Completed college-level Anatomy & Physiology course
• Enrolled in an accredited nursing program with fundamentals completed (proof required annually)
• EMT, Medical Assistant, or LPN certification
• Equivalent experience or training
