Job summary

Grand Haven Hospital, part of Trinity Health, seeks a per diem, part-time healthcare professional to provide patient care and support. You will measure vital signs, collect specimens, and assist with wound care and procedures, adapting to rotating shifts as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• BLS certification required or obtained within 3 months of hire.
• CNA in Michigan or related nursing/program coursework acceptable.
• Anatomy & Physiology course completed.
• Enrollment in accredited nursing program with fundamentals completed.
• EMT/MA/LPN or equivalent experience acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Providing top‑notch care and comfort to patients.
• Measuring and recording vital signs and intake/output.
• Collecting lab specimens (urine, sputum, stool) with precision.
• Assisting with wound care, EKGs, and splinting.
• Being a calm, capable presence when patients need it most.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Providing top‑notch care and comfort to patients


• Measuring and recording vital signs and intake/output


• Collecting lab specimens (urine, sputum, stool) with precision


• Assisting with specialty procedures like wound care, EKGs, and splinting


• Being a calm, capable presence when patients need it most

What You’ll Need:

• High school diploma or equivalent


• CurrentBLS certification (or obtain within 3 months of hire)


• One of the following:
  
  
  
  • Certified Nurse Aide (CENA) in Michigan
  
  
  • Completed Anatomy & Physiology college course
  
  
  • Enrolled in an accredited nursing program with fundamentals completed (proof of enrollment required annually)
