Dartmouth Health is seeking a Unit Support Assistant for the Pediatric Inpatient unit. The role focuses on preparing and resetting patient rooms, maintaining supplies, and supporting admissions and throughput.
You will serve as the unit's welcoming face for patients and families while assisting with bed management and regulatory duties. The position is full-time (40 hours/week) with a schedule covering weekdays and evenings, including nights.
Join our Pediatric Inpatient team as a Unit Support Assistant and help create a welcoming, organized, and well-supported environment for our patients, families, and clinical team.
In this role, you’ll help keep the unit running smoothly by preparing and resetting patient rooms for admissions and discharges, maintaining supplies and equipment, and supporting a variety of administrative needs. You’ll also serve as the unit’s welcoming face for patients and families while assisting with bed management, scheduling, admissions, and throughput.
Additional responsibilities include supporting the infant security system, maintaining unit cleanliness and readiness, and helping the team stay on top of important operational and regulatory requirements, including point-of-care testing, lab due dates, nurse fit testing, and compliance tracking.

This is a FT 40hr/week role. The schedule is M-F, and nights. The midnight hour is essential for coverage, but there is some flexibility in the shift being 6p-2a, 5p-1a, or 7p-3a.
Assists the interdisciplinary team in providing a well-supplied, safe, and clean inpatient unit that meets regulatory standards.
