We are seeking a Unit Support Assistant who thrives in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include routine housekeeping, responding to emergency spill cleanup calls following infection control protocols, daily cleaning of units, maintaining patient equipment, safely transporting patients, and handling specimens, supplies, and unit items as needed. The role aims to meet or exceed customer expectations as outlined in the Service Quality Agreement (SQA).

All successful candidates will be required to undergo respiratory fit testing to ensure workplace safety and health standards compliance.

Responsibilities:

1. Perform daily cleaning duties in assigned areas following infection control procedures.
2. Take ownership of responsibilities within assigned zones and other designated areas.
3. Provide excellent customer service and demonstrate professional behavior, teamwork, and effective communication.
4. If assigned, inspect, test, and clean patient equipment.
5. Complete respiratory fit testing as part of safety protocols.

Qualifications:

1. At least 1 year of experience in environmental services within healthcare, hospitality, or contract cleaning.
2. Preferred prior hospital environmental services and housekeeping experience.
3. High school diploma or equivalent; may substitute for one year of experience.
