Job summary

State of Wisconsin, Department of Corrections, seeks an Institution Unit Supervisor for New Lisbon Correctional Institution in New Lisbon, WI. The role oversees security, treatment, and living conditions within the unit and directs an institution-wide program as part of the management team.

The position requires implementing policies, managing unit goals, and coordinating with staff. Schedule is Monday–Friday, on-site with occasional on-call responsibilities, and pre-employment screenings apply.

Qualifications

• Developing, implementing, and evaluating treatment and/or specialized programs (e.g. treatment, clinical, and/or social services, education, religious programs, structured activities).
• Developing, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating security standards, policies and/or procedures in a secure setting.
• Performing supervision or lead worker-related activities (e.g. assigning, directing, and/evaluating work; disciplinary matters, hiring, providing training/mentoring).

Responsibilities

• Oversee the security, treatment, and general living conditions of residents in the unit.
• Direct the institution-wide program within the unit.
• Develop, implement, and monitor overall institution goals, policies, and procedures.
