Job summary

Prisma Health in Blount Memorial Hospital’s Orthopedic Surgery unit seeks a Unit Secretary who can be cross-trained to support Nursing/clinical roles. You will deliver friendly customer service, manage clerical tasks, and help with supplies while ensuring a safe patient environment.

Under RN supervision, you may perform basic nursing tasks and data collection, with at least 20% time in clinical support. No prior experience required, training provided.

Qualifications

• Education - Completion of a nursing assistant, patient care tech or nursing fundamentals course.
• Experience - No experience required.
• Cross-training to additional clinical support roles as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service to patients, families and staff.
• Perform clerical tasks at the nurse’s station and assist with data entry.
• Monitor, stock, and organize supplies; maintain clean, safe unit environment.
• Coordinate with RN and team on patient care activities and unit operations.
