Job summary

Mercy Health is seeking a Unit Secretary for the Lima Medical Office Building. You will provide clerical support to the nursing unit and promote an organized, positive culture on the unit.

Responsibilities include handling calls, scheduling follow-up appointments, and assisting with charting and codes in the facility. High school diploma or GED required; EPIC EHR experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Must possess problem-solving skills and strong computer use ability.
• Typing speed of 25 WPM with accurate data entry.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for patient and staff interactions.
• Experience with healthcare clerical work is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide clerical support to the nursing unit.
• Route and prioritize calls from internal and external customers.
• Schedule discharge follow-up appointments and record traumas/codes.
• Perform other administrative duties as assigned.
